*“Mapping the American Landscape”*

*University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries*

This year’s speaker is Dr. *Joel L. Morrison*, distinguished
cartographer and geographer, and former President of the International
Cartographic Association.

Join with us as Dr. Morrison takes us from the first tentative image of
North America on the map through the succeeding five centuries, as the
continent became outlined, boundaries defined, discoveries recorded,
lands divided and the landscape depicted with ever greater precision.

Along with the lecture, there will be an exhibit of many of the rare and
specialized maps discussed.

Free and open to the public.

The AGS Library is on the 3^rd floor, east wing of the Golda Meir
