I am pleased to announce the redesign of the Western Association of Map Libraries (WAML) web site (www.waml.org).  The organization and look of the web site has been updated.  The content on the site has been reviewed and changed as necessary.  The WAML Web committee was formed after discussions were held at the Spring meeting (2005) in Boulder.  The committee members are: Katie Lage (Univ. of Colorado), Julie Hoff (Arizona State Library), Cynthia Jahns (UC Santa Cruz), Linda Zellmer (Indiana Univ), and Julie Sweetkind-Singer (Stanford).

The WAML Scanning Clearinghouse Project has been added as a major component of the Web site.  The Clearinghouse Project, developed by Janet Collins (Western Washington University) and Julie Sweetkind-Singer (Stanford) and run by Janet at Western Washington University, is a place to record digitization projects as well as look for other projects that are in process or have been completed.  WAML members will be sent via email a user name and password that will give them access to the input form.  Non-WAML members are encouraged to participate and can request a guest log-in to include their information in our database.  Comments and suggestions are welcome.
