The photography described below has something that most collection of
aerial photos or photomaps lack. Many of them are, like these, from
earlier periods of time. Their value is in the historical information
they convey of the region they cover. Developers and historical
researchers seek this information, for various reasons. The demand by
developers for such imagery has begun to increase their market worth.
Requirements for environmental impact studies during environmental impact
studies has required developers to invest in research about the the
locality for which development is planned. This is a recent trend, and
affects the value of all aerial imagery, including that of historical
collections. They once could accurately be described as of 'no worth'
monetarily. But demand for such imagery, no matter the source, has
begun to give them a great deal of worth in the commercial world.

The collection described below has an additional factor, owing to the
historic events that led to their being taken. That these were made by a
company taken over by the German Luftwaffe, of parts of Europe soon to be
overrun during World War II, adds to their 'priceless' value. They are
historic in importance, additionally to their historical value.

I think that providers of imagery to developers in Europe might be able to
render some assessment of value of this collection.
