Subject: MAGERT schedule at ALA in Seattle

Colleagues,

This is just a reminder that the complete MAGERT schedule for the
ALA-Midwinter Conference in Seattle may be viewed at the website:
http://www.ala.org/ala/magert.

If you are attending the conference and are able to, please come to the
reception between 7-9 PM Friday at the Gordon Biersch
restaurant/brewery, 600 Pine Street Suite 401, in the Pacific Place.

Also, it is a good time to consider attending the ALA Annual Conference
in Washington, D.C. ALA-MAGERT will be sponsoring a number of
interesting events including: a two day pre-conference workshop on
cataloging pre-twentieth century cartographic resources, a
reception/tour of the U.S. Naval Observatory Library, and in addition to
all of the interesting discussion groups--two programs. One program
will focus on security of maps in libraries and the second on the
history and charting of the U.S. Coast Survey.

Best wishes,
-Scott R. McEathron
(Chair, ALA-MAGERT)
