Hello,

Today's Science Times (part of the NY Times) has an article on the
effects of global warming on maps. A feature formerly mapped as a
peninsula is now an island, something revealed after the nearby glacier
retreated. The same issue provides a summary of a report from the
National Academy of Sciences on the need for additional Earth sensing
satellites.
