Call for papers: The Northeastern Geographer (Journal of the New England-St. Lawrence Valley Geographical Society)

The Northeastern Geographer, an annual publication, is now accepting submissions for its second volume to be published in 2010. We are interested in articles that are on any geographical topic, but especially invite submissions that are related to the Northeast, the St. Lawrence Valley Region and the Canadian Maritime Provinces.
Papers may be empirical, theoretical, applied research, GIS-related and essays. We encourage authors to illustrate their articles with maps, photos, tables and charts.

The Northeastern Geographer is also interested in publishing book reviews, short opinion and editorial pieces and special topics. Books reviewed should be about our region or authored by members of NESTVAL.
Reviews of books on general geography topics will be accepted as
well. We also welcome short opinion and editorial pieces that are
related to topics relevant to our region or about an important trend or topic in geography.

The Northeastern Geographer encourages submissions from junior faculty, graduate students and advanced undergraduates (working with faculty).

All submissions will undergo a peer-review process.

In general, manuscripts should follow the style guidelines used by the Annals of the Association of American Geographers (APA Style). For more detailed submission guidelines or to electronically submit a manuscript please contact the journal editors:
