There isn't a solely cartographic paper or proposal this time.

Discussion Paper no. 2009-DP05 raises making 008/39 (Cataloging source)
obsolete. The reasoning is that the 040 field provides more specific
information.

Discussion Paper no. 2009-DP04 suggests adding a code or codes to
indicate "online access" or "direct access" in the Form of item area in
the 008 field. Right now there's is just a code for "electronic" and the
 paper makes the argument that more precision is needed.

Discussion Paper no. 2009-DP6/02 explores enhancing fields 033 and 518
to allow for greater granularity in recording data and place of capture.
This paper comes from the RDA/MARC Working Group. There's currently no
cartographic examples but there might be potential use for maps.
