Hello,

There is an article in the Winter 2009 (vol. 41, no. 4) issue of Prologue (Quarterly of the National Archives) titled Cartography, Politics & Mischief. It is about Ephraim Gilman's 1848 map of the United States. The issue and article are not yet available online from NARA.
