The 1990 data are still available in the "legacy" American FactFinder
without having to google. According to the Census FAQ,[1] "between
January 18th and the sunset of the legacy American FactFinder in late
2011, all data will be moved to the NEW site".

If indeed they will migrate "all data", perhaps we just need to juggle
between the new and the legacy sites until the migration is complete.
