 Dear All,

Our members might be interested in the following competition, especially
the £1000 / US$1600 prize fund. It is not necessary either to live in
Scotland or to be an AGI member in order to enter. Folk elsewhere, for
example, could describe how eg an innovative service they have set up in
Australia could be applied to Scotland.

One Scotland, One Geography Challenge: win £1000!

The Scottish Government's One Scotland, One Geography strategy seeks to
open access to public sector spatial data holdings and enable
development of new and 'more joined up' information services.

In support of these aims, AGI Scotland is pleased to announce its 'One
Scotland, One Geography Challenge', a £1,000 total prize fund open
competition with two categories:

* Most beneficial informatio! n service
* Most pragmatic enabling idea

Contestants will have until 22nd March 2010 in which to submit a
presentation that describes either their information service proposal or
enabling idea. The results of the competition will be announced at AGI
Scotland's 2010 'One Scotland, One Geography' event to be staged in
Glasgow 29th April 2010.

Full details on the One Scotland, One Geography Challenge can be found
on the link above.

I have a vested interest as I am on the AGI Scotland board and have
organised the competition.
