Hi Rich,

Please contact me directly with the ground mail address of your patron,
and I'll forward him a photocopy of the following source cited in the
Newberry Library Cartographic Catalog
<http://www.biblioserver.com/newberry/index.php?m=search&id=&ftype=data&q=Vert%201708%20%28PrCt%29>--

On the trail of 'Economy'. [Greendale, Wis.: Alton C. Thompson, 2008].
Authors: Doman, Keith -- Thompson, Alton C.
[18] p. : ills., maps ; 28 cm.
An account of the authors' search for 'Economy,' at or near the present
site of Saukville, Wisconsin, and shown on several maps from the 1830s
and '40s made by William Thorn and H. S. Tanner. One hypothesis is that
it may have been a projected, but never established, Moravian mission.
Vert 1708 (PrCt)

All best, Patrick Morris

  > Hello,
  >
  > I have a patron question concerning H.S. Tanner:
  >
  > "His U. S. maps of 1836 - 1839 show an "Economy" at the location of
  > present-day Saukville, WI, north of Milwaukee, which was evidently a
  > "paper town." I would like to know his source for this information".
  >
  > Can anybody offer some commentary on his question?
