Deputy Map Librarian
BODLEIAN LIBRARIES

Grade 7: Salary £28,983 - £35,646 p.a.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a committed individual
to make a significant contribution to the delivery of digital mapping
resources in the country's largest university library, which is also a
library of legal deposit. Working within the Special Collections
Department you will take an active role in developing innovative
services to users at a time of significant change. You will play a key
role in user education across the University and beyond.

The Map Room is one of the ten largest collections of maps in the World,
holding over 1.25 million map sheets, with an ever-expanding portfolio
of digital cartographic resources. You will lead the University's
digital mapping provision, both providing GIS tuition and exploiting the
Map colle! ction's holdings on the web. In the Map Librarian's absence,
you will deputise both within the library and beyond at relevant
meetings and conferences.

Candidates will have a good honours degree with proven GIS experience in
previous employment.
