Subject: WAML 2013 meeting and the US Federal Government Shutdown


As you may know (and hopefully are planning to attend!), WAML will hold its annual meeting at Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite National Park later this month, October 30 - November 2.


If you are planning to attend the meeting or are concerned about how the Federal Government shutdown may impact the WAML meeting, please be aware that Tenaya Lodge is located outside of Yosemite National Park and is fully operational during a Federal government shutdown. The WAML meeting will be held regardless of the Federal government's operational status.


If Yosemite National Park remains closed on November 2 for the planned field trip to the park, there are alternative destinations including historic Mariposa, California: http://www.visitmariposa.net/index.html .
