I am the moderator of the Maps-L discussion list and yesterday I
forwarded an email from a fellow map librarian mourning the loss of an
important figure at his University.

I've received some private messages suggesting I forward this message in
bad judgement. I truly apologize to those who disapproved of that
decision. The message didn't have anything to do with maps or map
libraries and it most likely was inappropriate for the list. I sent the
message in support of a map librarian colleague and truly did not intend
to offend anyone.

Again, my apologies.
