I would be very interested in finding 3d files for maps too.
We have just started playing with 3d printing. Thingiverse.com has some good free 3d files. You could search for simple fault models there.

Subject: Looking for 3D models to print of earthquake faults

Hello,

I would like to demonstrate simple earthquake fault models, such as strike-slip, normal, thrust, etc. faults.

Are there any free 3D files available that I can print these out in 3D?
