Hi, Heather.

I took this opportunity to clean up the Geolode entries for Botswana.
Some were no longer available online, one had moved, and I added a new
one I found.

I think your best bet for geological/mineral-related data will be
Botswana Geoscience Portal, which is now located here:
https://geos.bgi.org.bw/GDP/Search

You can see all the available datasets by just clicking the "search"
button without entering any search parameters.

Cheers,
Keith

Does anyone have any good tips for sources to which I might direct them? The goal is to create map layers using this information in either an ESRI ArcGIS product or in QGIS. I think part of what they are looking for is specific to minerals contained in elephants’ tusks, on the very off chance that someone knows of data specific to that topic! Ultimately, I think anything that is either Botswana-specific and/or contains those geological features, but is for a different area in Africa, would be helpful during this first step of figuring out what’s available. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
