Mal,

Locating recent (post 1950's Army Map Service) large-scale topographic maps
of China are very difficult, and maybe impossible to find outside of China,
as I have discovered from my own recent inquiry on Beijing topos. The best
that we have are the L-500 series at 1:250K by the AMS, compiled 1954. If
you need bl&wh copies, and if anybody knows of a source for larger-scale
topos for China, please let me know.
Aloha,
Ross Togashi
