Hello all, and please excuse the extensive cross-posting. . . .
 
Received the most recent Roberts Rinehart catalog today.  They have
announced the biography of Ferdinand Hayden, who conducted one of the
major mapping efforts in the American West, will be published in
December.  Although biographies of Powell and King were done
years ago, this is the first major published biographical work on
Hayden.  The announced title is "Strange Genius: The Life of
Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden.  For additional information, contact the
