Good point Nat!! Admittedly, we are fortunate with our location and the
proximity of several services, etc. Nevertheless, I think many libraries
may be able to arrange for pick-up and return of material which could
solve the proximity issue. The most important issue, I believe, is the
ability to offer such a service with reasonable pricing and scheduling.
Secondly, if I could avoid the servicing of the machine I would choose a
vendor/commercial outlet that may charge a little more.
 
The issue of 'special collections' materials is another issue altogether
and one which we solve with special appointments and one of our staff
hand-carries such material and it is copied in a mylar folder.
