Geo Katalog 2 has a reference to a book, "Geology of Galapagos, Cocos, and
Easter Islands" by Lawrence John Chubb (Bernice P. Bishop Museum Bulletin
110), 1933.
 
We have a copy in our bookstacks, which you could request thru ILL. There is
not a geological map included, however...just a small sketch of the
topography of Easter Island.
 
But maybe this work would be useful to him/her.
