     Below is a job advertisement for a Project Manager who will
coordinate an innovative new project, the Information System for
Los
Angeles (ISLA).   We are seeking applicants who can work with
social
scientists, librarians, and computer experts.   Among other
types, we are
interested in receiving applications from map librarians, GIS
experts, urban geographers, and urban historians.  I am on the
search
committee and would be happy to talk with anyone about the
project and
the position.
