If the patron would be happy with 1:50,000 topographic maps the Dean River
would be covered on sheet 93 D/15 and would cost about $8.20 plus $2.50 Cdn and
can be ordered from Canada Map Office, in Ottawa, Canada. Their telephone
number is 1-800-465-maps or fax at 1-800-661-maps. If it is a hydrographic
chart that is needed you should contact Canadian Hydrographic Service, Dept of
Fisheries and Oceans, 1675 Russell Rd, Ottawa, Canada. Telephone at
613-998-4931 or fax at 613-998-1217. If the scale of 1:50,000 is not detailed
enough the British Columbia government may have a provincial series. Their
address is Map & Air Photo Sales, Survey and Mapping Branch, Ministry of the
Environment, Parliament Bldgs, Victoria, BC. I don't have a telephone or fax #
