The Arizona Map Society is currently being organized. An
organizational meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 1994,
7:00 pm., in the Boardroom, at the Arizona Historical Society,
949 E. 2nd St., Tucson. You are cordially invited to attend this
meeting and give your ideas and energy towards the development of
this new society.

The Arizona Map Society is being created to serve all those
interested in any aspect of maps, antiquarian or modern, from the
map collector to the professional cartographer or anyone with a
passing interest in maps. Activities envisioned for the Society
include programs with lectures by experts in the field, field
trips to visit collections, a periodical-type publication, and
possibly special projects to enhance our knowledge of maps.

If you would like to be placed on a mailing list for additional
information about the Society, membership application procedures,
and dates of its future activities, please send or mail a message
to one of the people listed below giving your name, address and
phone number. We would also like to know what your interests in
maps are, so please include that information with your message.
