I would appreciate pointers or information on who may be doing
GIS involving mountain ice fields and glaciers. Also, have there
been long term studies using satellite information (outside of
the NASA work on the Arctic Ocean, for example)? In planning
a basin model I note ice fields and glaciers within the area
involved. I've not touched a glacier beyond a stroll on the
Grossglockner and know nothing of the state of that art.

I will post a summary if the replies are substantial.
