FIELD TRIP: Yellowstone National Park--The World's Oldest National
Park--We will leave Colter Bay Village on Saturday, September 10,
1994 at 8:00 AM or shortly thereafter and car pool to Old Faithful
Lodge. At 10:00 AM, we will board a bus for a tour of the Upper
Loop of Yellowstone, making stops on the South Rim of the Grand
Canyon of the Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs, and other spots
along the way. This trip is approximately 6-8 hours, depending on
the length of stops. We will return to Colter Bay by 8:00 PM,
later if dinner is eaten at Old Faithful Lodge. Field trip
participants may wish to eat dinner at Old Faithful Lodge before
returning to Colter Bay. Please indicate if you are interested in
this optional dinner on the registration form. Approximate cost of
the Field Trip will be $20.00 (assumes 20 participants), less if
more participate. Lunches or picnic supplies can be purchased at
Colter Bay. Weather in September is usually sunny during the
day, but cold at night, with occasional rain or snow showers.
Therefore, be prepared to dress in layers. A jacket, sweater or
sweatshirt, pants and comfortable walking shoes are a must.
A hat and gloves should be carried just in case.

REGISTRATION--Registration will be $25.00. Canadian members who
will be attending can pay their registration fee on arrival.
Deadline for registration is August 29, 1994. Please complete the
registration form, making checks payable to WAML, and send to Linda
Zellmer.

WAML BANQUET--The Banquet will be held in the Mural Room at Jackson
Lake Lodge, overlooking the Teton Range and Jackson Lake. A
limited choice of entrees from the menu has been selected. Members
and guests will be offered a choice of:

Mural Room Trout--Sauteed Utah Trout served with almonds and
lemon butter sauce, and broiled Idaho Red Bliss Potatoes.

Scallopini of Turkey Breast with sage spatzle & mushroom
     ragout.

Broiled New York Cut Sirloin (12 oz.) with crisp fried onions
     & Baked Idaho Potato

Eggplant Lasagne--Eggplant layered with ricotta & other
     cheeses and tomato fondue.

All meals are served with a choice of Consomme, Soup of the Day or
Summer Field Greens. Alcoholic beverages and dessert are extra.
Cost is $22.00 per person.

TRANSPORTATION--Jackson Hole Airport is served by Delta/Skywest,
American Airlines and Continental Express. Contact your local
travel agent for flight information. Airport shuttle service is
available between the Jackson Hole Airport and the lodges in Grand
Teton National Park (all flights are met by the shuttle). The
shuttle costs $10.00 each way plus $4.00 for the park entrance fee.
Some airport runs will be made by local hosts. Contact Linda
Zellmer with your arrival time to see if transportation can be
arranged or the Grand Teton Lodge Company [(307)-543-2811 or
1-800-628-9988].

PARK FEES--Since we will be meeting in Grand Teton National Park,
and travelling in and out of the park, participants will have to
pay a $4.00 park entrance fee, which is good for 7 days, or have a
valid Golden Eagle Passport.

WEATHER--Temperatures in Grand Teton National Park during September
are 69 (Average High) and 32 (Average Low), so layers are
suggested. If the weather is nice, breaks can be spent out on the
lawn, so casual clothing is recommended.
