     As a note to the discussion about the USGS Monthly Publications List,
     future USGS online and print publication announcements will contain
     citations for publications from the National Biological Service
     research centers.  These centers will be part of the USGS after
     October 1.  A publication list for the National Biological Service was
     distributed from the NBS Informatin Technology Center (ITC) in Fort
     Collins, Colorado.  ITC closed in November 1995 due to budget
     reductions, and a central list for NBS publications has not been
     available since that time.
