Medujugorje lies in southern Croatia, somewhere in the region of Mostar /
Dubrovnik. Until all the fighting erupted, it was a very popular pilgrimage
destination for Irish Catholics, with direct charter flights from here to
Dubrovnik airport. I believe there are still a few pilgrims who do make the
journey, but it is no longer a routine matter and to all intents and purposes
the pilgrimages are on hold for now.
