As was announced earlier in the year, the coastal community on the COASTGIS
list were joined by their deep-sea colleagues under Dawn Wright's encouragement.
As a result of this merger, it was felt that the old name of COASTGIS no
longer adequately reflected the expanded interests of the list membership.
Accordingly,

1. we have renamed COASTGIS to SEA-GIS (but note that existing subscribers to
COASTGIS are now subscribers to the new list and do not need to
re-subscribe). The node address, etc., remains the same.

2. mail forwarding has been setup from [log in to unmask] to
[log in to unmask] therefore new subscription requests - and
messages sent to those not acquainted with the changes - will be
   forwarded for the forseeable future

3. Dawn Wright has been added to the list as a list co-owner (do you know
what you let yourself in for, Dawn? :-)

We trust that these changes will not inconvenience anyone greatly. Many thanks
for your (hopefully continuing!) support, and our best wishes for the coming
holiday season.
