On May 13th I posted a reply to Donna Schenstom's request for information on
the Palestine grid.  Dov Gavish has pointed out to me that what I was
referring to was a British Army transmformation of the the projection to
Transverse Mercator for military use during WW II.  His suggestion of
contacting the Survey of Israel is then the proper one.  Sorry to mislead
you.  I guess amateurs shouldn't walk where experts fear to tread.
