We are in the process of applying for an instrumentation grant from NSF and
need some information as to the relative file sizes of extra large (42 inch
maps) down to 5x7 inch maps, black and white to 5 color in megabytes each. We
need sizes for scanned and digitized maps. Range is from new topos, old
topos, county maps, county assessors and recorders maps, BLM maps, soil maps,
manuscript maps. We are also interested in information about large flatbed
scanners to negative and slide scanners (prices, vendors, etc.). Thanks.
