This is my first posting to the list. I trust from my week of
lurking observation that map cataloging questions are
appropriate here.

I am cataloging some navigational charts of Texas coastal
waters produced by the U.S. Coast Survey in the 1850's. The
LC examples I have seen don't include DDC numbers, and I am
curious what the correct number for such charts would be.
From a note in the DDC 20 Manual (T1-0223 vs. 912) I see that
maps emphasizing a particular subject (e.g. railroad maps) are
classed with that subject.

Does this pertain also to navigational charts, and if so, with
what subject do I class them? 623.89-something?

Thanks in advance for your aid to this first-timer.
