GIS Analyst, Clarendon Hills, IL
HR and Associates, Inc. is a full-service market research firm which
operates world-wide. We have an immediate opening for a graduate with
a degree in a geography or Geographic Information Systems-related
discipline as a GIS technician/analyst in Clarendon Hills, IL a west
suburb of Chicago.
Entry level and GIS professional applicants will be considered for
key positions in the GIS group of the firm. Tasks will include layout
design, mapping, general data analysis, data management, and
application development. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Essential Skills:
Familiarity using GIS or GIS-related applications, preferably MapInfo
Professional
Familiarity in data management and analysis using databases and
spreadsheets
The ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
The ability to work co-operatively within a small team of GIS
specialists
Advantageous Skills:
Programming skills in one or more GIS development languages including
MapBasic, ArcView, Avenue, or MapX
Programming skills in one or more application development
environments such as VB, VC++, Delphi, or Java
SQL Server database development skills
Interest in the following areas Internet development, automated map
production, and international marketing.
