Hi and sincere apologies for cross-postings (or for the apparently
incoherent issue..!).

As a resume on an earlier project concerning coastal morphotectonics of
the Arauco Gulf in central Chile, I am looking (obviously!) for a source
of accessible imagery.

On the early days, I worked on aerial photos, but I no longer have access
to them, and I didn't scan them (it was 1994..). Pre-1990 or
Landsat 7 TM data, although fairly affordable, don't yield the resolution
I need. CORONA declassified imagery would +/- do, but to cover the area
one needs several strips, thus exceeding the region of interest by far ->
the cost rises too much. SPOT, IRS-1c and Ikonos are simply too expensive
for a graduate student.
And, oh yes, some contours or grid.. I have the 1:50.000, which should do,
but anything finer would obviously be of help.
Orthophotomaps from the Instituto Geografico Militar del Chile are
available but not cheap at all, perhaps because of the foreign purchase.

Therefore: does anybody have information about such +/- accessible, +/-
affordable imagery for the Gulf of Arauco..? I know I'm asking a lot..!

Many thanks for any hints and again my apologies for the specific query to
such a wide and diversified audience.

With kindest regards,

Umberto Fracassi
