Hi all,

We have a bank of 21 keyless entry powered lockers. These lockers
provide space for students (and other
patrons) to safely store and recharge their electronic devices.

The lockers will hold couple of laptops. They won't hold any bags,
coats, etc. The patrons enter the locker code. The locks are
automatically opened every night, and the locks are reset. Any contents
left in the lockers go to lost and found.

The system works well for electronic things.

I'm also sorry for this non mappish reply,
we had the same problem (users didn't return their key) and since there
was no budget for coin operated lockers, we start to ask them leaving
their library membership card or their student card to reference desk,
just to have a key. It works fine so far.

Sorry for the non-mappish question but is anyone using coin operated
lockers for patrons in their reading rooms?

Our current lockers are operated by keys but patrons sometimes forget to
turn in the keys.
