Just a quick update with machine info and ONE
corrected time (slip of the fingers on my part):
To display doq image:
a.486pc (24M RAM; 66 mhertz): using imdisp as software,
we got something ugly to display in under a minute
BUT Larry used an already-decompressed image
b. DECStation 5000/200 (minicomputer): 40M RAM; using
xv as software, it took about 20 minutes
to display image (this includes decompressing an image)
c. Alpha 4000 (DEC minicomputer): 128M; again using
xv, it took TWO minutes
