Hello all,

Perhaps some of you heard the story recently on NPR about the village in
Italy that was cast in shadow for a significant portion of the winter.
The mayor (or whomever) installed a rather large mirror on the hilldside
to catch the sunlight and cast some sun into the valley so the village
wouldn't be entirely in the dark for all of the winter. (the story can
be found here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6645729)

Does anyone know of a place in the US that might be in a similar situation?

Thanks for your help.

Angie
