Since posting the availability of the GEOnet Names Server on MAPS-L a few
weeks ago, we've experienced a surge in accesses.  This is good news for
us, and we look forward to hearing from more of you with feedback on how
to improve the system.
 
Please note that on or about 17 February, the URL for the GEOnet Names
Server will change to [log in to unmask]" target="_blank">http:[log in to unmask].
 
We encourage users to sign up for individaul accounts.  These accounts
enable us to track which geographic areas users are most interested in,
which in turn enables us to direct our (scant!) resources toward keeping
those areas up to date.
