Hi Chris,

I'm reasonably certain it must be 1963. (Crossed off first and last digits of your two numbers and "36," i.e. 1963, is common to them both. Clearly they didn't have map catalogers in mind when they devised their codes.

Cheers!

All,

I am trying to date an Automobile Club of Southern California map. The
numbers that appear on the map are "26366" and "C-17366." I looked at
the WAML toolbox http://www.waml.org/datecode.html and still can't make
heads or tails (or 1963 or 1966) out of this map.

thanks in advance,
