Hello to All!
 
Just wanted to remind, and invite, all of you to the 12th Annual North East
Map Organization (NEMO) Meeting, which is in two weeks!
 
This year's theme is "Geography, Maps, and People: Meet Me at Wellesley"
and the meeting is indeed at Wellesley College, Massachusetts, just outside
of Boston.
 
DATES: June 3rd and 4th, 1999
COST: $75 (includes one year NEMO dues and dinner at the College Club
Thursday night)
          $25 for students
PRESENTORS:
 
        June 3rd: Mr. Dennis O'Brien, cartographer, "How to Build a Better Map:
The 5 A's
                   of Process, and the 10 C's of Design and Illustration"
 
                   Mr. David Cobb, Map Librarian, Harvard University, "The Harvard
                   GeoSpatial Data LIboratory: Plans, Partners, and Programs"
 
                   Featured Dinner Guest/Speaker: Dr. Harm de Blij
 
        June 4th: Ms. Anne Kelly Knowles, Mellon Fellow in Geography, Wellesley
                  College, "Visualizing Past and Future Landscapes: Personal and Public
                  Meaning in Maps of the Seven Sisters"
