The GNIS CD-ROM, from the USGS, mentioned by Mr Eric Higgins of Murder Creek
Mapping is available but at the correct price of $57.00. You may also use
and view the database at http://www-nmd.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html

Indeed, YES, this software exists. The name of the firm is called Blue
Mountain. Right now I forget the address, but you can obtain it from Randy
George of MicroMap (303-988-4940). If you have additional problems, let me
know.

GISnet BBS sells MapInfo data sets of the USGS quad outlines, names and
MRC numbers. All the quads for the 1:24,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000
scales are available as mapable layers. Prices are $25/file (the
1:24,000 set is $50 because it is actually two files; east and west US.

All sets cover the coterminous US as well as Alaska and Hawaii.

Delivery is $7 extra if you want these shipped on disk via US post but
is free if you can accept e-mail attachments or wish to download them
from our BBS.
