recommend, including a couple on which I have worked.

        Atlas of Early American History: The Revolutionary Era, 1760-1790.  Ed.
Lester J. Cappon et al.  (Princeton, 1976  -- probably out of print)

        Atlas of Great Lakes Indian History.  Ed. Helen H. Tanner.  (Oklahoma U.
Press, 1986  -- probably still in print)

        Atlas of Historical County Boundaries. Ed. John H. Long. 18 vols (of
projected 40) to date.  (Gale Group, 1993-present -- in print)
