We consulted with a preservationist about doing restoration
work on an 1860 map of the U.S., a rare item that we found
listed in an antiquarian catalog for over $1,000.
 
Turns out, the preservationist said it would cost at least
that much to restore it! (Guess we'll have to patch it
ourselves.)
