Hi Tony,

From one Diaz to another, here at Central Washington University we try to collect as much about the Columbia River Basin as possible since it is in our own neck of the woods....speaking of woods, we are the home of the Rufus Woods Papers (the guy who made Grand Coulee Dam possible). Our Archives and Special Collections department might be able to help you a little. Stephen Hussman is our Archivist.

In recent time, I've been trying to gather as much about the Columbia River Basin as possible and scan those resources. One of those titles is the Columbia Basin Joint Investigations collection. We only have the following volumes (published in the early 1940s).

--Character and Scope

--Opportunities, Responsibilities, and Needs in Irrigation Development (and a map that comes with the volume)

--Re-Study of Size of Farm Units

We also have several different editions of "The Story of the Columbia Basin Project" of which the first one is more complete than the others (the text has kept on shrinking to the point of pamphlet size now).

I do have the above titles scanned and could have them emailed to you. I will see if I can get these titles put online.

I also found these pages that are located in your neck of the woods:

Let me know how else I can help you.

Subject: USBR Columbia Basin maps

Hello, one of my students is trying to find topographic data for parts of eastern Washington prior to the construction of US Bureau of Reclamation reservoirs.

He found this link:

http://research.archives.gov/description/2210454

Is it possible that these maps exist in digital form somewhere?
