Maps-L Community:
After a competitive national search for a Digital Spatial Data
Librarian, I am pleased to announce we have chosen Tom Brittnacher to
join the staff of the American Geographical Society Library. Tom
graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the
University of California, Davis and with a Masters of Arts in Urban
Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently
finishing a Master of Library and Information Science degree at UW
Milwaukee. Tom has worked as a Cartographer for the well known Thomas
Brothers Maps in Irvine, California as well as a GIS Technician,
Transportation Planner and GIS Analyst in the private sector in
California. He has been a valued graduate student intern at the AGSL
for over a year.
Join me in welcoming Tom to the map and geospatial data librarian community!
