The one source I have found for mapping imagery for Ghana is from East
View Geospatial. There is imagery based on various map series,
including Ghana's 1:50,000 series, and smaller scale series from the US,
the Ordnance Survey, and others. Here is their web site
http://www.geospatial.com/

Be sure to indicate that you represent an educational institution.
Until recently, I had found this step unnecessary, but there have been
some personnel changes, and some might need a gentle reminder of that
fact. Ghana seems not to get as much interest as some other areas, and
so some digitizing seems to be done on demand, which increases the cost.

If you need satellite imagery, the USGS Map Store gives access to a
variety of imagery sources that are available for free download,
including Landsat 7 and its successor, 8. There are other sources of
imagery as well. Here is the link for these

We have a graduate student who is looking for high resolution
imagery of
the Ashanti Region in Ghana. Any other base mapping layers, including
streets, roads and buildings of that area would also be helpful. Any
information on how to get our hands on the imagery would be most
     helpful.

Please respond directly to me at [log in to unmask]
