With apologies for cross posting, we would like to bring to your
attention a call for papers for a special issue of the ISPRS journal of
Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. The theme of this special issue is
"From Sensors to Systems: Advances in Distributed Geoinformatics", and
it will be focusing on recent advances in distributed Geoinformatics,
including topics such as:

* Ad-hoc networks for Geocomputing with and emphasis on image-based and
hybrid sensor networks
* Collaborative navigation and route finding
* Information management and coordination in ad-hoc networks
* Uncertainty and redundancy in distributed Geocomputing networks
* Distributed image processing
* Indexing, querying, data mining and information retrieval (with
emphasis on imagery)
* Privacy and information sharing/hiding strategies both for sensor and
mobile system networks
* Advances in compression, summarization, and annotation for
imagery-based systems

Full manuscripts for this special issue should be submitted by June 30,
2006. The planned publication date is spring 2007. You may find more
information about this special issue in the attached PDF file, or at the
following URL:

We would like to encourage you to submit a paper to this special issue.
We would be grateful if you could forward this message to anyone in your
department who might be interested in submitting a paper to this special
issue.

Kind regards,

Peggy Agouris, Matt Duckham, and Arie Croitoru,
