Hi everyone:

I have a retired professor who's looking for the date that Forfarshire
became Angus County in Scotland. She thought it was before the 1881
British Census, but I checked the Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland (1894)
and it lists Forfarshire. The Gazetter of Scotland lists Angus but our
edition is 1973.

Of course, she could look through history books of Scotland but is there
some easier way to find this info?

Thanks

Chris Kollen
