Hi;

There are two paper versions available, one by Hema Maps, a Australian
commercial map publisher, and one by Interarts, an American commercial map
publisher. The Hema one is about $7 and the Interarts one is about $10.
The Interarts one is a little more colorful. we stock them both.

Commercial map dealers, such as MapLink, sell upside down
maps of the world.

Vassilis and Jon:

I remember cataloging just such a map while at the Univ. of Georgia several
years ago, around 1990. I did a search on the CIC's Virtual Electronic
Library on the title "Down under map of the world" and guess what...there
it was! The Univ. of Ill.-Champaign also has a copy!

The title is the same as in the above paragraph. Other info:

ISBN 0731900758

Scale 1:45,900,000

Published by Universal Press Pty. Ltd. in 1989, the company is in Sydney

Available, or used to be, from MapLink?? (Erno, Melissa's got your
catalogs, I'm in a different building on campus so I can't verify this.
Help??)

Perhaps others can help with more specific info., like the
address/phone/fax of Universal Press Pty.?

Upside Down World Map 3rd ed. Hema Maps Ltd. 1996. ISBN 1-875610-84-7

Most importantly New Zealand is at the top!

Many thanks to Janet of Washington and Karen from the land of the long
white cloud! I have passed the info on.

Hi, Vassilis,

I don't know whether you can find it on the Web, but maybe you could
make a deal with somebody in Chicago to pick one up at the Rand McNally
store on Michigan Avenue and mail it to you. I bought 8 of them at that
store in June, 1996, and successfully surprised a bunch of my geographer
friends last Christmas! ;-)
