Cannot attend the annual ALA conference in Person? No worries! Send your questions and ponderings to me, and the topics will be raised to other GIS library professionals at our Discussion Group during the conference. The group’s responses will be compiled and posted as a discussion string in the MAGIRT area of ALA Connect!

Going to the Annual Conference in Anaheim this year? Great! Join us on Sunday, June 24th from 10:30AM to noon in the Anaheim Convention Center, Room 212B , for the always lively discussions of the GIS side of librarians’ geospatial issues. Send me your topics ahead of time, and I will make sure the issue is brought to the table.

What do we discuss? This group provides a forum for discussion of and recommendations on issues concerning the acquisition and management of geospatial data, collections, digital mapping, digitization, metadata, and products of various formats.
