If your institution has a slide library (sometimes part of the department
of art history or architecture), they usually have an operation to
photograph images from books. Our slide photographer is always very
helpful when presented with special items such as rare books. At USC we
even provide a copy stand for student use and can lend them a camera if
they need it.

I realize copyright laws regarding copy photography in the US and Canada
differ, so this may not apply outside the US.

Hope this is helpful.

Amy
